少なくとも1週間前には、肥料を与えたり、土を耕したりといった準備をします。<span style="background-color: #ffff00;">無風でおだやかな日の午前中を選んで植えます。（夏の時期は夕方か曇りの日</span>）植えつけ後は、苗がしっかり根ずくまで水を与えます。この時、<span style="color: #ff0000;">しおれない程度</span>にしてください。<strong>水が多いとかえって土の表面が固くなります</strong>。</p>

<li>苗の根株がすっぽり入る程度の穴を掘り、土を湿らせる。</li>
<li>苗が入っているポリ鉢をやさしく逆さまにして押し出すように苗を取り出す。</li>
<li>根土が崩れないようにそのまま植えます。</li>
<li>株元（根土と茎の境目）を地表よりやや高めに植えて、周りの土をかぶせて軽く押さえる。</li>
<li>苗の根土と畑の土をなじませるため株元全体にたっぷり水を与えます。</li>

<li><strong>追肥（ついひ）</strong>：肥料成分の窒素やカリは雨で流されやすいので、<span style="color: #ff0000;">生育期間の長い野菜は途中で追肥をします</span>。追肥は外に伸びた葉っぱ先端の真下表土（根っこ先端付近になります）に施します。<span style="color: #ff0000;">追肥は2週間から1カ月は間をあけ、肥料過多にならないようにしてください</span>。</li>
<li><strong>中耕（ちゅうこう）</strong>：日が経つと土が固くなり根の活動が悪くなるので、<span style="color: #ff0000;">根を傷めないよう浅く、空気を含ませるように土を耕して、やわらかくしてあげます。</span></li>
<li><strong>土寄せ</strong>：株の安定と水はけのために中耕でほぐした土や、畝間の土を耕して株元に寄せます。<span style="color: #ff0000;">特に根菜類は、土寄せがしっかりできていないと質が落ちます</span>。</li>
<li><strong>追肥した後、</strong>その効力を発揮させるために<strong>軽く中耕し、肥料が混ざっつた土を寄せる、<span style="background-color: #ffff00;">この一連の作業で野菜がすくすく育ちます。</span></strong></li>
